Hormone Optimization

Hormone optimisation is an approach in which deficiencies and imbalances are corrected with individualised treatment following a comprehensive laboratory evaluation of the thyroid, sex hormones, cortisol and metabolic axes.

Overview

Depending on age, sex and clinical picture, lifestyle adjustments, micronutrient support and, where necessary, evidence-based hormone replacement protocols are applied. Regular laboratory monitoring is carried out throughout treatment.

Who Is It For?

  • Individuals with complaints of fatigue, reduced libido and sleep disturbance
  • Those experiencing weight control difficulties, loss of muscle mass or increased body fat
  • Patients who have entered menopause or andropause
  • Those suspected of having a thyroid function disorder
  • Those with a picture of chronic stress and adrenal fatigue

Lifestyle adjustments, supplements and, when needed, prescribed treatment are planned.

  4. 4

    Regular Follow-Up

The protocol is revised with laboratory checks every 8 to 12 weeks.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is hormone treatment started for every patient?

No. Lifestyle, nutrition and sleep optimisation are addressed first. Replacement therapy is recommended only for deficiencies confirmed by both laboratory results and clinical findings, using evidence-based protocols.

Are herbal or bio-identical hormones safer?

The preparations with the highest level of evidence for efficacy and safety are standardised, accurately dosed and approved products. The 'bio-identical' label alone does not guarantee additional safety.

Does hormone replacement create a cancer risk?

The risk varies according to the type of preparation, dose, duration and patient profile. With a properly selected patient and regular monitoring, the risk can be managed; there is no single general answer for everyone.

When is testosterone recommended for men?

It is recommended when there are clear clinical complaints (fatigue, loss of libido, muscle loss) together with a proven low testosterone level, after assessing any accompanying conditions.
